Thank you card

This is a card I made using one of the alcohol ink pics I was playing with the other day. The gold really shines out at this angle and makes it look like I used loads, its not that shiny in real life!
I glossy accented the Thank You and used a Papermania background paper. Obviously Tim Holtz inks and stamp 'Paris', with feathers and gem brads from my stash (brads Papermania I think).
This is a Thank You I made for Sarah, a fellow Guider, who really helped me and my 2 eldest girls out last week when I was in a pickle.
Thank you!

Some new stamps and watercolours!

Hi all,
Been a while again, just back from my hols and thought I would pop on and share these with you.

The stamps are clear stamps from Daisy and Dandelion, the set is part of the Bubble and Squeak pack. They are just adorable, I had to stand and make a choice :-O when I was in the Range in Plymouth! I wanted them all!
Also here are 2 Forever Friends stamps (apologies for the blurryness!) from the big set I was given as a gift when leaving Gibraltar from my lovely Craft Club ladies - I miss you!!!
My new watercolour pencils are from WHSmiths. I have found my favourite way of colouring in my stamps at last! I used a water brush to blend.

I have also bought some new clear stamps by Papermania from Chaplins in Plymouth, which I will share soon, they are from the Snag'em Stamp Duos range and are very sweet.

We also bought an absolute tonne of fudge from the little olde style sweet shop on the Barbican (where the Mayflower left from to sail to the US in the 1600's) but its WAY too late to share that with you :D hehe!

Christmas Layout

I took these pics a couple of weeks ago when we set up the tree, and had to scrap them!
The images are Peppermint Twist from KandCo, the red paper under Santa is Basic Grey and the cardstock and ribbon generic from my stash. The acetate I believe is also Basic Grey. The numbers are Papermania.
Thanks for looking!

Guess what?? Christmas cards!!! Stitching too - what a shocker!

Don't have an awful lot of time to post as you may have guessed! What with Christmas, kids Christmas and usual activities, packing, packing some more, making cards, getting ready for my baby's 4th (ahhh!!!!) birthday, buying pressies to get sent back to the UK, running round like an idiot etc.......... I just don't have the time, but for now, here are some recent cards :D Just got time to post these before my new bed gets delivered and I get on with the dishes! The tags are either Morrisons own or from Phoenix cards. Other bits and pieces are K&Co, ribbon, papermania etc.

Still loving the stitching :D
We have a demo morning at Kings Chapel, here in Gib tomorrow '5 Second Christmas Decorations' - should be fun!
And I have never been so busy with the Craft Club, so many new people and some not so new who have decided to join us now as they have heard what a friendly, supportive and crafty group we are! Word of mouth is working wonders and I have just had yet another call from another lady who heard our radio advert on BFBS! Leaflets in wonderful Debbie's 'Decorative Crafts' shop on her Subway day netted us several newbies as well! I have no idea where to put them all! Seriously tho, its wonderful and a fab learning experience as each new person brings a talent with them, or a desire to learn and participate. AND everyone is so nice to each other! I am so happy :D!
Enjoy!

Christmas and Lola!

Well these are cutesy little drawings aren't they? Once again - Pink Petticoat! From the Doodle-icious selection, coloured, layered up and popped onto A6 coloured card and folded in half, add a few embellishments and a bit of glitter and voila! Simple but sweet :)
This Lola card is made from leftovers of a TLC project I have been working on these past few days for my hubby Steve's birthday gift when he gets back from Afghanistan. We have found out that he actually leaves Camp Bastion to begin his journey home on his actual birthday!! How exciting! We are sending cards ahead for him to open but his birthday gifts etc will be delayed a few days for when he actually gets back around 4 days later! I will show the project once he has received it! Don't want to give too much away!
Anyway this is Lola Rose from Pink Petticoat, the papers are from the TLC Family kit, with stash ribbon, inks and papermania elements.

Colour Challenge #22

It's Colour Challenge time again over at Kristina's blog!

This was the inspiration photo:
and here is my go:

The colours don't look the same in the pic!! Ahhh!! Never mind, just rest assured they are in real life! Anyway! I thought I'd kill two bird with one stone here - I wanted to make a special card for Liza who won my candy to put in with her prize for when I post it on Friday (can't get to the PO before then! Sorry Liza!) and also enter the challenge!

I used Pink Petticoat Lola Rose Jeans image on plain white card, coloured in with basic kids crayola pencils and also stabilo pencils (the latter bought from Carrefour in Spain today while we were escaping Gib!!), I lightly dabbed a Whispers ink pad over the image and laid it onto papers from My Little Shoebox, which had been edged with Pretty Color Ink. The letters added for LIZA is Papermania diecut sticker letters and I used white ribbon and staples from my stash. The flower and brad are also Papermania.
I hope you like it when it arrives Liza!

Basic Grey Challenge Blog!

I came across this in my travels! I know how so many of us love Basic Grey, so how about this?

Basic Grey Challenge Blog.

The first challenge is buttons, but they need not be Basic Grey as long as something on your page is! I am going to submit one I have already made and posted here a couple of weeks ago - Fynns 'birth' day card.
Now obviously the buttons and everything are not Basic Grey but it fits the bill as the Rub Ons are Two Scoops!!
Hope you like it over at the challenge!

My first 12 x 12 Page!

This week we changed days to Tuesdays nights and Thursday mornings for Craft Club which suit most people much better than what it was, and we have decided to do Demo Nights on the first Wednesday of each month (straight after payday!).

This months demo was a 12 by 12 scrapbooking layout. This is my first attempt ever at a 12 by 12 page having only ever made 2 (yes a whole 2!) 8 by 8's before now! Wow, daunting for a beginner!

Anyway this is my attempt and various closer aspects.
Here is the whole page, I have left space for journalling as I haven't decided what to write yet!
This is the top right corner, and my 2 eldest girls!

The is the bottom right with my 2 youngest girls!

Some of the embellishments, the beach bag and flipflops dome stickers, I bought especially for when I scrapped the beach pics. They are Papermania. The big bite was put into use with the eyelets and the chipboard star is TLC, as is the background card and red card.

My bloke and my friend

This first card I made with the pink big bite II, punching holes and then using a variety of materials to make the words, then decorated it with papermania sentiments and Basic Grey 2 scoop rubon accents from the Olio selection.

This second one is for my very good friend and neighbour Chris who has really pulled thru for me these past few days and been an absolute trooper, checking on me when I have been down, helping me with things I need without any fuss at all, all while having her own things to cope with. She gave me these papers and a load of others today as she simply didn't use them, so I made a 'thank you for being my friend' card for her using them! I am very lucky to have her support and friendship right now.
The lovely surprise gift of these papers also helped me get some of my mojo back which has been seriously lacking these past few weeks! So thank youfor that too Chris!!
In this card I used Laura Ashley ribbon , chipboard and flower embellishments, SeeD stamps, InkitUp Chocolate Brown ink, a 2inch circle punch and papers from My Little Shoebox.
I also got a lovely surprise in the post today from Celia!! Thank you! It really made us smile, especially the momento from the sadly dearly departed Weston Pier!!

Cards and goodies!

Here is a card made for one of my hubby's care parcels to Afghanistan, the sentiment inside reads "My love follows you". Used basic gold cardstock and the Papermania 'For Him' papers.

I had to show you this, I paid £29.99 for this! The bag and £100 worth of free crafty yumminess from Stamps! Both Christine and Martine got one too, but unfortunately by the time my daughter went to order one, they ran out so we are scouting around on Ebay and online sales for a bag and crafty goodies for her now!

These are simply adorable, I bought these for the craft club as there is a complete lack of big stamps, aren't they gorgeous? I think these were Stamps.co.uk, also below are 'mini' stamps, great for building up your pictures and making borders. The busy craftclub ladies are having a great time playing with these! We have had a MASSIVE restock and got almost everything off the ladies' wish list so we are doing well! Now when someone says "Do we have.....?" I can say "YES! Right here!".

Also GREAT to see Sue Slater back among us! We've missed you! Especially Christine, I have never seen her so smiley! Hi Sue, Hi Chris!

Talking of craft club, we've decided to go all the way thru the summer, how fab is that? The ladies are enjoying their Wednesdays so much they don't want a summer break! Fine by me cos it gives me a night out a week for adult conversation while hubby is away!

A couple of us have really gotten into scrapbooking now so its quite creative! And yes.... Christmas cards have begun to make an appearance already! I have been asked to make up a few examples so the ladies can copy them so that is my evenings taken up this week!

I have also been busy printing off pictures for my next pages - beach and sea themed, we've been having a great time at the beach in the gorgeous weather we have so my camera has been clicking away for memory preservation and to show hubby what we've been up to!

Anyone who is in my Facebook friends list can see them in full as well as the recent leaving do's I have been to!

Its great to be back in touch with both Gill and Annette, oh how I've missed you! And Gill... you owe me about a fiver in text credit just for last night! lol! Wonderful having you both back in contact, we've been missing you!

Bits and Pieces

These are some goodies I received from ScrapbookInspirations magazine for subscribing, lots of K & Co Yumminesssssss!!! Mmmmmmmm!! I also got a load of Laura Ashley goodies for subscribing to PapercraftInspirations but have used half of them already so no pics, but you will see them scattered thru my up and coming creations!!
This is Elizabeth and Tash on one of the couple of times we had Tash overnight, once for Elizabeths birthday and another to help out so Gill and Mark could prepare for their marchout (on a school night too! They didn't stay up late or anything Gill, hehe!).
This is the card I made for Annette's leaving. Using those K & Co goodies and See D's!
Annette receiving one of several gifts from us. Cos she is wonderful and we love her!! Sob!
And finally this card is one of the cards I have made for my hubby in Afghanistan to pop in his care boxes of yummy snacks and stuff. I used the new crop-a-dile I bought for the Craft Club on this one (I have just had a MASSIVE £200 stock up!! We are so busy now!) purely to check it was working you understand ;o) hehe! Also the new male papers from Papermania 'For Him' range.

I will catch up on the chatter later - there is lots of news - after Friday morning craft club or maybe over the weekend when I find 5 mins but for now here is a pic of my FIRST EVER scrapbook page!and a new baby card - congrats to Tomo and Gemma on the birth of baby Amber!

I have a few more to pop up here when I get the time! I am alone with the 4 kids now as hubby is now in Afghanistan so its chaos!! And we are starting summer hols today!

Sale, card and Oooh I've been ousted....

...as the no'1 on the Toplisted site!! I really am gonna have to stop linking to other sites on there, haha! Still I don't mind, the top one now is one I linked here a week or 2 ago for being so good and also a couple of others I have listed.
As I go through there is still the odd one that misrepresents itself saying it offers free templates and goodies when it doesn't - just to get you to click on it I suppose, but on the whole, the sites are honest and full of genuine crafty loveliness!!

Talking of which!!!!!! MadaboutCards has a sizzling summer sale!! Woohoo!!! Check it out! Then check it out regularly as they often has mini sales too!

I am having an exciting day - I have been mopping my floor! BUT I did find a little time to create a card whilst ignoring the rest of the housework, hehe!
This was made using generic cardstock from my stash, ribbon from my stash (bought from a shop called Princess Silks in Gibraltar), InkItUp! inks, free stamps from the front of Papercraft Inspirations and Papermania brads.
I have a Karaoke party night to celebrate the end of term with Brownies and Rainbows tonight - 3 and a half hours of it..... wish me luck..... I will take a packet of headache tablets with me!!

Dad - close your eyes!

Ok here it is as promised, didn't turn out anywhere near what I envisioned but I actually quite like it for such a simple card!!

This card is for my dad and will be popped in the post this week so now have to find an envelope big enough! Its a 12 x 12 folded in half. I have used brads as a button on each one, they and the other embellishments are from papermania.

The origami shirt instructions can be found here at Madaboutcards.

Don't forget also that Madaboutcards has quite a few free downloadable papers as you have a good hunt around the projects. Or you can go here where the first download in each set is free.
