Thank you card

This is a card I made using one of the alcohol ink pics I was playing with the other day. The gold really shines out at this angle and makes it look like I used loads, its not that shiny in real life!
I glossy accented the Thank You and used a Papermania background paper. Obviously Tim Holtz inks and stamp 'Paris', with feathers and gem brads from my stash (brads Papermania I think).
This is a Thank You I made for Sarah, a fellow Guider, who really helped me and my 2 eldest girls out last week when I was in a pickle.
Thank you!

Layouts

I made these as part of an 8 by 8 scrapbook for my dad for his birthday, I printed the digi layouts I have done previously and made a couple of normal pages and assembled half a scrapbook for him, with other pages to be sent as I make them so he gets surprises in the post! Kind of a prolonged pressie experience!x Sally x

Guess what?? Christmas cards!!! Stitching too - what a shocker!

Don't have an awful lot of time to post as you may have guessed! What with Christmas, kids Christmas and usual activities, packing, packing some more, making cards, getting ready for my baby's 4th (ahhh!!!!) birthday, buying pressies to get sent back to the UK, running round like an idiot etc.......... I just don't have the time, but for now, here are some recent cards :D Just got time to post these before my new bed gets delivered and I get on with the dishes! The tags are either Morrisons own or from Phoenix cards. Other bits and pieces are K&Co, ribbon, papermania etc.

Still loving the stitching :D
We have a demo morning at Kings Chapel, here in Gib tomorrow '5 Second Christmas Decorations' - should be fun!
And I have never been so busy with the Craft Club, so many new people and some not so new who have decided to join us now as they have heard what a friendly, supportive and crafty group we are! Word of mouth is working wonders and I have just had yet another call from another lady who heard our radio advert on BFBS! Leaflets in wonderful Debbie's 'Decorative Crafts' shop on her Subway day netted us several newbies as well! I have no idea where to put them all! Seriously tho, its wonderful and a fab learning experience as each new person brings a talent with them, or a desire to learn and participate. AND everyone is so nice to each other! I am so happy :D!
Enjoy!

Christmas Cards! Again!

I am getting quite into these now!
For these I used Pearlescent Cards which can be found here, and ribbon from the recently purchased craft club stash, gold and silver card, Angel punch is from Dovecraft, chipboard shapes from Dovecraft Winter Wonderland and Contemporary Christmas, also coordinating accessories like sticky ribbon and funky brad which can be found here and here, the brads are from my stash, staples, basic eyelets are from my stash and the novelty ones are from Eyelet Outlet, and the grommets are from the collection that came with my Pink Big Bite.

Christmas and Lola!

Well these are cutesy little drawings aren't they? Once again - Pink Petticoat! From the Doodle-icious selection, coloured, layered up and popped onto A6 coloured card and folded in half, add a few embellishments and a bit of glitter and voila! Simple but sweet :)
This Lola card is made from leftovers of a TLC project I have been working on these past few days for my hubby Steve's birthday gift when he gets back from Afghanistan. We have found out that he actually leaves Camp Bastion to begin his journey home on his actual birthday!! How exciting! We are sending cards ahead for him to open but his birthday gifts etc will be delayed a few days for when he actually gets back around 4 days later! I will show the project once he has received it! Don't want to give too much away!
Anyway this is Lola Rose from Pink Petticoat, the papers are from the TLC Family kit, with stash ribbon, inks and papermania elements.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas....

I started this last week at Craft Club, glass painting on the reverse of acetate with a silver tree sticker on the front. As you know, chaos has ensued this week, so I finally got around to finishing it this evening.
An open shot here, clearly shows the acetate.
The christmas sentiment is K & CO, the ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, the stickers are Anita's I think, glass paint is generic cheap stuff from the club stash and the card itself and brads are from Madaboutcards, not sure the brand and plain silver generic stationary staples.

Another Fathers Day Card

Here is the card I made today for the FIL for Fathers Day on Sunday.

Slightly smaller than the last one!!

Sale, card and Oooh I've been ousted....

...as the no'1 on the Toplisted site!! I really am gonna have to stop linking to other sites on there, haha! Still I don't mind, the top one now is one I linked here a week or 2 ago for being so good and also a couple of others I have listed.
As I go through there is still the odd one that misrepresents itself saying it offers free templates and goodies when it doesn't - just to get you to click on it I suppose, but on the whole, the sites are honest and full of genuine crafty loveliness!!

Talking of which!!!!!! MadaboutCards has a sizzling summer sale!! Woohoo!!! Check it out! Then check it out regularly as they often has mini sales too!

I am having an exciting day - I have been mopping my floor! BUT I did find a little time to create a card whilst ignoring the rest of the housework, hehe!
This was made using generic cardstock from my stash, ribbon from my stash (bought from a shop called Princess Silks in Gibraltar), InkItUp! inks, free stamps from the front of Papercraft Inspirations and Papermania brads.
I have a Karaoke party night to celebrate the end of term with Brownies and Rainbows tonight - 3 and a half hours of it..... wish me luck..... I will take a packet of headache tablets with me!!

Dad - close your eyes!

Ok here it is as promised, didn't turn out anywhere near what I envisioned but I actually quite like it for such a simple card!!

This card is for my dad and will be popped in the post this week so now have to find an envelope big enough! Its a 12 x 12 folded in half. I have used brads as a button on each one, they and the other embellishments are from papermania.

The origami shirt instructions can be found here at Madaboutcards.

Don't forget also that Madaboutcards has quite a few free downloadable papers as you have a good hunt around the projects. Or you can go here where the first download in each set is free.

Colour Inspiration Challenge no 9 card

Ok here is my card for Kristina's challenge no 9. Quite pleased with it - it was my first attempt at faux stitching, I resisted big ribbon knots and extra stamping!! I stuck to the wavy ribbon and I like it as it is, the 2 flower brads were a last minute addition and fill out the space a little as it seemed bare.

Colour challenge and Gina's Comp

As per the last 2 blog entries (see the links there), I thought I'd have a bash. Didn't come out anything like I planned :( But its pretty and covers all bases. It does look better in real life.... The jewels on the right match up with the sticky ribbon just perfectly but you can't tell here.

And a couple more

I'll see if I can dig out a few more soon. All of these have been a mix of style - all experimentation and some adapting from ones I have seen elsewhere.
Hope you like them :)

Here is a card I made yesterday.

And here's a close up!

I also made this one at Craft Club on Weds

Color Inspiration #5

Kristinas colour inspiration challenge is up on her blog here and I thought I would have a bash this time!

These are the colours:

And here is my submission:
I used papermania products, and an old ribbon I found in a cupboard I was going to throw away!

More cards

This one on the left didn't have the tags or flowers on for a while as I couldn't decide what to do. In the end I used a Just for You stamp, some ink it up ink and clear heat embossing powder, then attached with a brad, then stuck a lovely peel off onto some orage tissue paper. The ribbon brads are just lovely. I have a thing about brads at the moment but I am trying to use them sparingly as I could really go to town with them! I also used little heart border peel offs and vellum for the spotty backdrop.
The other one is an origami shirt card I made for my dad for his birthday, very 60's and retro don'tcha think?!
Its so cute, I absolutely loved it.
