Sad news...

My craft stuff is all packed away. Sob......
Even the massive Madaboutcards order that arrived the day before yesterday, I opened it, admired its wonderfulness and packed it :(
See you in about 5 weeks wonderful, crafty loveliness......

But..... HURRAH for the Craft Club yeh!! I still get to play there twice a week!
Have now handed over to Martine and she has had a wonderful time spending the money on lovely goodies we played with last evening!! We have had a rearrange a couple of weeks ago and its a lovely friendly space now and much better organised, it also copes better with the huge increase of stock we have now have! It all gets used and played with too, nothing is out of bounds! Notice boards are decorated and up (Martines lovely hubby), huge filing cabinets (Martines DH again!) to cope with the abundance of paper, cards, cardstock etc. Lovely scrapbooking items, pens, ribbon, stamps, matching buttons etc for every occasion fill the shelves, there is so much to choose from!

I have had a great time doing all this and Martine is well up for continuing it all! We haven't had to ask for any money off anyone and its all been purchased from the reduced fees of £2 per week per person. I leave a wonderful place full of happy people, in the very capable hands of a treasured friend. Lots of new faces and old, going about in their creative ways - can you tell I am getting all emotional?? I am gonna miss it so much and all my friends when I go soon.

I am so glad of the day Gill made her double pronged attack on my email accounts begging me to take it over as she knew I could cope and had the skills to take it on, its been wonderful for both me and the club and I am so happy she trusted me enough to leave her club in my novice crafty hands. Thanks honey x

Awards :D & Shopping!

I have been the very lucky repicient of a couple of awards recently - I pass these on to all my SCS Group 6, SBS 17, SBS 27 and Sew Craft Blog Sisters! Cos they are all lovely, talented and amazing women bloggers.

Also today I managed to pack quite a few boxes, we are up to box 44! We have decided to do smaller boxes mainly this time just for the ease of being able to carry them! I have also scrubbed our freezer - what fun ;).

In between all that today I managed to hit the Madaboutcards site, they have their New Year sale still on and I thought while I still get my tax back being in Gibraltar it would be a good time to grab a bargain with my Christmas money (whats left of it!) cos its my last chance! Yes I had a fab time, tonnes of beads and buttons etc later... woohoo!

We have another lie in tomorrow cos Gibraltar have decided to have a celebratory bank holiday for some reason or another, bargain. I will take it!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas....

I started this last week at Craft Club, glass painting on the reverse of acetate with a silver tree sticker on the front. As you know, chaos has ensued this week, so I finally got around to finishing it this evening.

An open shot here, clearly shows the acetate.
The christmas sentiment is K & CO, the ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, the stickers are Anita's I think, glass paint is generic cheap stuff from the club stash and the card itself and brads are from Madaboutcards, not sure the brand and plain silver generic stationary staples.

Sale, card and Oooh I've been ousted....

...as the no'1 on the Toplisted site!! I really am gonna have to stop linking to other sites on there, haha! Still I don't mind, the top one now is one I linked here a week or 2 ago for being so good and also a couple of others I have listed.
As I go through there is still the odd one that misrepresents itself saying it offers free templates and goodies when it doesn't - just to get you to click on it I suppose, but on the whole, the sites are honest and full of genuine crafty loveliness!!

Talking of which!!!!!! MadaboutCards has a sizzling summer sale!! Woohoo!!! Check it out! Then check it out regularly as they often has mini sales too!

I am having an exciting day - I have been mopping my floor! BUT I did find a little time to create a card whilst ignoring the rest of the housework, hehe!
This was made using generic cardstock from my stash, ribbon from my stash (bought from a shop called Princess Silks in Gibraltar), InkItUp! inks, free stamps from the front of Papercraft Inspirations and Papermania brads.
I have a Karaoke party night to celebrate the end of term with Brownies and Rainbows tonight - 3 and a half hours of it..... wish me luck..... I will take a packet of headache tablets with me!!

Dad - close your eyes!

Ok here it is as promised, didn't turn out anywhere near what I envisioned but I actually quite like it for such a simple card!!

This card is for my dad and will be popped in the post this week so now have to find an envelope big enough! Its a 12 x 12 folded in half. I have used brads as a button on each one, they and the other embellishments are from papermania.

Last night...

....we had 2 newbies, Yeh! Welcome to Liz and Eliza! So I had 2 to show around what we do - even did a Cuttlebug demo for Liz - I only learned last week myself.
Had a bash at Father's Day cards I haven't mine finished yet but will post when I do.
I demonstrated an origami shirt (that I found here at Madaboutcards the site contains a few free downloads too) and the cards seemed to feature a lot of washing lines and shirts of varying bright colours!!
Martine in particular (Hi Martine!!) got them right very fast and was most proud of herself - I can see a lot of cards with little origami shirts of different kinds for different occasions in her future!!

At the moment I get the ideas from the Web or my infrequent visits to the craft club (its on the same night as Brownies), but love the colours of the papermania backing papers, and brads, in fact anything papermania, I am just discovering ribbon brads and eyeletting which is making it all the more fun! I like to stamp, heat emboss and use ribbons ;o) its the girlie in me! Whats more my 4 daughters, well 3 of them, have quite gotten into it too! The little one would rather watch Roary the Racing Car, lol!
I love the Docrafts site and get their mag Creativity! I get my supplies from Debbie at Decorative Crafts in Irish Town, here in Gib, Ebay and Madaboutcards.com who do an occasional sale and a lovely VAT discount cos I am in Gib so making lots of use of them at the mo! Hmmm just had free minieggs....Yum!
I have also just discovered Starofmay on Youtube and her accompanying blog Kwernerdesign blog, what an inspiration! She also has links off her blog to other FAB cardmakers and designers.
I also shamelessly steal my ideas from Gill, Annette, Martine and Sue at the craft club! If I see something they are doing and like it, consider it nicked, haha, hey the new girl has to start somewhere!
One company that looks wonderful is K&CO so will be checking their stuff out on Ebay when the cash is available!
I will be leaving my studies for a while while DH is away in Afghanistan and am hoping to hand the Brownies and Rainbows over to capable hands. I want to try and have a relatively stress free time while he is away so I can craft at leisure! Its so therapeutic! And of course R needs her taxi driver for rehearsals!
