Christmas Cards & Wii Fit!

I tentatively and nervously made all my Christmas cards this year, I am so pleased with the response! Over half have sent me a personal thank you! I am stunned! It makes it all worthwhile doesn't it? One person has even asked if I will make some for them next year!?!?! Ahhh!
I have received quite a few beautiful handmade ones too, both hand delivered and posted, I am feeling one lucky lady today!

Oh and the Wii (thanks Santa!) and the Wii Fit (thanks Dad!) we got for a 'family' present this Christmas?!?! The BEST presents we have ever got! (Apart from the crafty bits of course and my Itouch ;) )
Every member of the family from the baby to my hubby can play together, its hilarious, fun and exhausting!

I have been really enjoying Dawns tutorials :D Pausing as I go thru to have a bash at making stuff! Here is another cutey little box that I made, I have actually made two, but this was the first. This is just the right size for a small treat, lipstick, a couple of chocolates, that sort of thing and I will be using this a LOT in this future for those small gifts!Thank you Dawn and for your lovely email! Your tutorials are great! I am only about half way thru them so look forward to more treasures appearing ;)

Tutorials :D Post it Note & Pen Holder & Takeout Box

I was blurfing last night til 2.30am :-0 and came across Dawn. Oh My Word. What a wonderful woman. Uploads video tutorials all the time, I made this one Post it Note and Pen holder below, last night using THIS tutorial! Of course mine is awful for a first go but its a start! Dawns are just amazing, as is EVERYTHING she makes!!
I am gonna use patterned card stock and a simple image for my next one. I will be teaching my kids to make this today for themselves as my first one has been, erm, borrowed, by one! Lol!

Then I found Kristina had made this little 'takeout' box, below is the first one I have made using Berry Sweet Cardstock from KandCO and curling ribbon from Morrisons. This box has subsequently been stolen by a child, stuffed with chocolate and I have been told that that is her gift to Daddy! haha! bloomin' cheek......
My second box, a lovely golden one, was stolen by another child, stuffed with a Roary the Racing Car and claimed, bloomin cheek...
I then gave up making them for me and printed out the pdf pattern (found on Kristinas page) onto the reverse of lots of patterned cardstock and white card, where they proceeded get my stamps out and stamp all over the white card and then cut the template out, or go ahead and cut it straight out on the patterned card. Very creative! We now have a dalmation print one, a tiger one, beautiful flowers.......etc!! All made by kids that are 7, 11 and 12. The 4 year old is wandering around trying to steal them as they are finished off ;).
I am off now to have a go at more of Dawn and Kristina's tutorials! Where would we be without wonderful women such as these!
Later ladies :D, be good!

Christmas Layout

I took these pics a couple of weeks ago when we set up the tree, and had to scrap them!
The images are Peppermint Twist from KandCo, the red paper under Santa is Basic Grey and the cardstock and ribbon generic from my stash. The acetate I believe is also Basic Grey. The numbers are Papermania.
Thanks for looking!

Christmas Star

I came across this tutorial at Scrummy Stash Cafe tonight and had to have a go IMMEDIATELY! I love it so much I made 2! I used Anitas 6 x 6 Classic Christmas Red papers, generic ribbon and eyelets and a candy cane eyelet from Eyelet Outlet.

I used my Pink Big Bite for the eyelet setting.
On the red one I used staples to hold it together and the gold one, 2 tiny brads.
The gold star has been made to sparkle a little with Stickles.
Hope you like them! Its a little different to what I normally do! Pulled me out of my comfort zone a little :D

SCS Bloggroup 6 Challenge, a dragon and Happy Easter ?!?!?!

Please excuse me its late, I am tired and the light isn't what it could have been for these pictures!
The first one is for the 1st challenge of my new blog group, SCS Bloggroup 6. Linda has set the challenge here, for our group to try. I haven't stamped as I have no decent stamps in the required size, but I have used one of my stitched pictures instead. I used Laura Ashley papers and Papermania brads, on plain white card, a bit of burnt orange ribbon from my stash and plain generic cotton on the image. This image below is another from Stitching Cards, I haven't made it into a card yet, so its just the image at the moment. I know, I know, we haven't got past Christmas yet! But to be honest I needed a break from them!Rachel, my star of stage and screen, sat with me and made this dragon this afternoon, it will be for her boyfriend Joseph who will be away for his birthday just after Christmas so we are trying to get it all sorted before he goes! While sewing the cards, we sat listening to podcasts from my cousins son Elliot, and learning lots of interesting facts and having a giggle!

Ok its not packing ready for the big move back to the UK, promise we'll get back to that tomorrow ;o)

Had to share this photo!

This is my Rachel in another role that she is doing in the play Bugsy Malone, she plays Fizzy and sings 'Tomorrow Never Comes'.

The talent and adaptability of this child stuns me! She has such determination to acheive and be great at whatever she does. I really think she will go far. One week she was Brigita Von Trapp and now Fizzy, the roles couldn't be much different! Thanks to Sue Slater for the photo. And the chats recently, you are such a good friend and so incredibly funny, thank you x

Santa V. Crafty Me!

Saw this on Michelles Blog, who saw it on Ann's Blog, who saw it on SCS! Its like pass the parcel ;D. Thought I'd share too, ode to the crafty blogger!

Twas the night before Christmas, I was glued to the tree.
I was wondering what Santa had brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cuttlebug, I thought, with a smile on my face.

And that's when I heard him..."Hi Santa," I said.
"You know, good little girls should be asleep in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."

"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, and then left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim, as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

haha, this is soooooooooooooooooooooo what is gonna happen to me!!

Guess what?? Christmas cards!!! Stitching too - what a shocker!

Don't have an awful lot of time to post as you may have guessed! What with Christmas, kids Christmas and usual activities, packing, packing some more, making cards, getting ready for my baby's 4th (ahhh!!!!) birthday, buying pressies to get sent back to the UK, running round like an idiot etc.......... I just don't have the time, but for now, here are some recent cards :D Just got time to post these before my new bed gets delivered and I get on with the dishes! The tags are either Morrisons own or from Phoenix cards. Other bits and pieces are K&Co, ribbon, papermania etc.

Still loving the stitching :D
We have a demo morning at Kings Chapel, here in Gib tomorrow '5 Second Christmas Decorations' - should be fun!
And I have never been so busy with the Craft Club, so many new people and some not so new who have decided to join us now as they have heard what a friendly, supportive and crafty group we are! Word of mouth is working wonders and I have just had yet another call from another lady who heard our radio advert on BFBS! Leaflets in wonderful Debbie's 'Decorative Crafts' shop on her Subway day netted us several newbies as well! I have no idea where to put them all! Seriously tho, its wonderful and a fab learning experience as each new person brings a talent with them, or a desire to learn and participate. AND everyone is so nice to each other! I am so happy :D!
Enjoy!
